Paint Leaf Jars
Supplies
- Mason Jar
- Glass paint
- Disposable paper
- Paintbrush
- Ribbon
- Candle (optional)
Steps
- First, place your disposable paper on your work surface to prevent any paint marks.
- Then place your jar either on its side or upright and start painting leaves on the outside of the jar.
- Be sure to use paint made specifically for glassware, that way it goes on smoothly and stays on the jar.
- Wait 3 to 4 hours or until all the paint is dry. If you use thicker coats of paint, you may need to wait longer.
- Once the paint is completely dry, tie a red, yellow or other fall-colored ribbon around the rim.
Candle Leaf Jars
Supplies
- Mason Jar
- Leaves (Fake or Real)
- Tea candle
- Ribbon
Steps
- Grab some colorful leaves from your yard or purchase some fake fall leaves from a local crafts store and fill a Mason Jar about 3/4 full with them.
- Then place a tea candle that is inside a glass holder into the jar, with the wick up.
- Make sure that the candle is big enough to fit into the opening of the jar but does not fall through. If it is too small and not in a glass candle holder, it could be a fire hazard.
- As a last touch, tie a colorful ribbon or piece of string around the rim of the jar.

Kid’s Room Decor
Posted by Home Decor Liquidators on 12:43 PM
Decorating your own bedroom is fun and easy. When it comes to decorating your kid’s room, however, things become a bit more challenging. What’s comfortable and fun for you doesn’t always reflect the more playful interests of children. Fortunately, when it comes to decorations, we at Home Decor Outlets specialize in both adults and children. That’s why we’ve put together a short list to help you decorate your kid’s room.
Kid’s Room Decor
Beds. If this room is for just one child, consider a wooden bed frame with drawers for storage. Wood is a classic kid’s room choice and a bed frame with drawers becomes the perfect place for storing toys and clothes. If there is going to be two children sleeping in this room, save space and promote fun with one of our many Home Decor Outlets bunkbeds!
Shelves. When it comes time for shelves, think creative. Shelves are a great place to add a little color and pizzazz to your kid’s bedroom. Some of our personal favorite shelf ideas include wall mounted skateboard shelves, or shelves that include every color of the rainbow. For some great DIY shelf ideas, click here: http://bit.ly/XMN1VP
Nightstand. A nightstand is the perfect place for pajamas and other little knick-knacks your kid may own. A good rule of thumb when it comes to night stands, is to try to find something that matches your childs bed frame. For a few different nightstand ideas, visit Home Decor Outlet here: http://bit.ly/1rvrcHB
The Walls. When choosing the color of your child’s room, it’s a good idea to go with something both fun and soothing. Pastels can be great for a kid’s room since they can both add a dash of color, while continuing to sooth. Additionally, another great DIY choice is painting a chalkboard accent wall. A chalkboard accent wall will help promote creativity and give your child the freedom to change his or her wall designs as often as they would like.
Decorating your child’s bedroom can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be! With a ton of different DIY home projects, as well the affordable furniture from Home Decor Outlets, the possibilities for decorating your kid’s room become endless. Storing Your Summer Gear
Posted by Home Decor Liquidators on 12:27 PM
The summer is coming to an end. In just a few weeks the weather will be cooling off and the leaves will begin changing colors. Before they do, however, it’s important to get organized. Switching out your summer gear for the oncoming autumn season can be challenging when it comes to storage space. Fortunately, we’ve created a short list of creative storing ideas to help you get started.
Curtains. Hide the clutter and still use your storage space with a colorful curtain. A colorful curtain hanging around a table or small set of shelves will add pizzazz to your home, while keeping it looking fresh and organized.
The Ottoman. Keep your house clean and organized by storing your summer gear in plain sight. Using a storage Ottoman, like one from Home Decor Outlets, will keep your summer gear safe, stored, and in an easily accessible place.
Storage Bed. A comfortable place to sleep and a comfortable place to store your things. If you have a bed frame with drawers and shelves, consider storing your summer gear here. Easily accessible, yet out of sight, a storage bed system is perfect for storing off season clothes.
Summer is coming to an end, which means autumn is just around the corner. Organize the chaos of the changing seasons with a few of our clever storage ideas. And when it comes time to buy extra storage and furniture, think Home Decor Outlets.
