3 Tips for Spring Cleaning

Spring may not be here just yet, but that doesn't mean we can't count down the days until then!  While you're waiting for the warm weather to arrive you can prep your house for spring cleaning with these tips:

Create Incremental Goals
Set practical goals and don't try to do everything all in one day.  You can separate tasks by room or levels of your house.  However you decide to segment the spring cleaning, make sure that you have a plan before diving into the mess.

Have a Checklist
Spring cleaning could have you facing some tough messes, so don't go in unprepared.  Form a checklist of cleaning and other supplies that you may need.  Here is a starter checklist for you that you can customize for your own home:
Cleaners:

  • Stainless Steel
  • Glass
  • Wood
  • Multi-surface & Disinfectant
Supplies:
  • Vaccuum
  • Carpet Cleaner
  • Broom
  • Mop
  • Bucket
  • Paper Towels
  • Garbage Bags

Organization is Key
One way to make cleaning easier for next spring and even all year round is by setting up systems of organization.  If things have a specific place to be neatly stored, then they are less likely to create a cluttered mess. Setting up a recurring basic cleaning routine will also help make spring cleaning less of a chore.
